The field trials of the 700 MHz (775-800 MHz) NLOS radios |
09 February, 2006 |
|
Azuretec is proud to announce that the field trials of 700 MHz (775-800 MHz) NLOS radios deployed in Changsha (the provincial capital of Hunan in China) and Taipei City were a great success!
In Changsha, the police security department has successfully deployed a vehicle-moving surveillance system using Azuretec's radios. The network required the adaptation of a 5dBi Omni-antenna at the central base station, with each moving vehicle equipped with an AT2007 radio along with a 5dBi antenna at the top. While moving at a speed of 90km within a distance of 3km from the central base station, the obtained data rates averaged 3Mbps! The field trial further proves the dependability of Azuretec radio's performance in a NLOS environment.
With the field trial hosted in Taipei City, again with an AT2007 and a 5dBi Omni-antenna at central base station, and 6dBi of Yagi-antenna at the other, the result was an impressive nearly 3 Mbps of data rate over a distance of 8km.
Now shipping all version of the Athena (AT2007) series radios. For more information on these units, chick Here.

Azuretec announces its first product for licensed bands. |
05 January, 2006 |
|
"Azuretec designs, manufactures and markets high quality broadband radio equipment. The products are intended for operators seeking to bridge the gap between traditional newworks which employ circuit switching and Wi-Fi to the Next Generation Networks (ngn) which employ IP telephony and more efficient broadband access technologies such as Wi-Max and flash OFDM.
Our Aurora family of products allows the operator to economically make the most of the ISM bands by coupling proven 802.11 technology with state of the art RF amplifiers and efficient antenna systems.
Our Athena products provide the operator with all the advantages of ngn transmission (OFDM, NLOS, efficient band utilization etc.) without a large capital investment. The first member of the Athena family, our AT2009 announced in November 2005, is a crossover product operating in the unlicensed 900 MHz ISM band (902 - 928 MHz). The combination of NLOS from OFDM and 802.11 chipsets make this new offering from Azuretec the most cost effective solution on the market for the 900 MHz ISM band. The radio is user selectable for 5, 10 and 20 MHz channels giving 5.5, 10 and 20 Mbps throughput respectively.
Azuretec is pleased to announce the launch of the second member of the Athena family, the AT2035 which operates in the licensed 3.5 GHz bamd (3400 - 3600 MHz), our first of many planned offerings for the licensed bands. Like the AT2009, the AT2035 is user selectable for 5, 10 and 20 MHz channels giving 5.5, 10 and 20 Mbps throughput respectively. Unlike competing products for this widely used band, the initial cost of ownership for an operator growing into a new service area is affordable immediately. In addition, because of its long reach, the Athena will complement the shorter range Wi-Max products when they become commercially affordable. "

Azuretec announces the 900 MHz ISM band OFDM Radio |
21 November, 2005 |
|
The AT2009 is a revolutionary breakthrough in bandwidth management of ISM point-to-point and point-to-multipoint systems. Unlike competing ISM band radios that require 20 MHz of bandwidth, the AT2009 allows the operator to subdivide the band into 10 or 5 MHz channels. By using the 5 MHz channel bandwidth the operator can avail himself of up to five overlapping channels, each carrying 5.5 Mbps.
The AT2009 OFDM radio operates in the unlicensed 900 MHz ISM band (902-928 MHz). Contact Azuretec for details on our special prices new user's starter / demo kit.
